A Plea for Deliverance and Forgiveness

Psalm 25

A Plea for Deliverance and Forgiveness

A Psalm of David.

To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
O my God, I trust in You;
Let me not be ashamed;
Let not my enemies triumph over me.
Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed;
(NKJV)
but shame will come on those who are treacherous
without cause (NIV)

Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day.

Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and
Your lovingkindness, (NKJV) which you have shown
from long ages past. Do not remember the
rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the
 light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful,
O Lord.

The Lord is good and does what is right;
 he shows the proper path to those who go astray.
He leads the humble in doing right, teaching
them his way. (NLT)

All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful
toward those who keep the demands of his
covenant. For the sake of your name, Lord,
 forgive my iniquity, though it is great.
(NIV)

Who are those who fear the Lord?
 He will show them the path they should choose.
They will live in prosperity,
and their children will inherit the land.
The Lord is a friend to those who fear him.
 He teaches them his covenant.
(NLT)

My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will
release my feet from the snare. (NIV)
Turn to me and have mercy,
for I am alone and in deep distress.
(NLT)
Relieve the troubles of my heart
and free me from my anguish.

Look on my affliction and my distress
and take away all my sins.
See how numerous are my enemies
and how fiercely they hate me! (NIV)

Keep my soul, and deliver me;
Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
For I wait for You.
Redeem Israel, O God,
Out of all their troubles!
(NKJV)
